Hi, I’m Louis and I’m a visual artist who creates large scale paintings that are typically (but not exclusively) made from many smaller artworks that sometimes merge to become a singular image but that, on closer inspection, individually remain delineated.

My work has developed over the years, coming from a classical background I slipped into the realm of contemporary art a decade or so ago when I wasn’t expecting it. I guess a lot of that has to do with the company you keep and let’s face it there’s a lot of good infleunce out there!

My inspiration comes from multiple sources and my work is extremely process driven. Working large scale and with multiple sub-panels takes a long time and the course of one’s sub-conscious is led by a fairly untethered beast. Needless to say there is great joy in beholding the outcome and divining the journey.
